Therapy (noun)

“intended to relieve”
“producing good effects”
“alleviate”
“therapist and client work together to understand”
“helps someone feel better”
“grow stronger”
I find this to be a very positive, helpful way of describing what therapy is.  Somewhere along the line the idea of seeing a therapist has become something to avoid.  It should be the exact opposite.  It should be something to value and available to everyone.

Choosing a therapist can be a challenge, considering that you are placing a lot of trust in a complete stranger.  Especially if you are experiencing depression, anxiety or relationship problems. It certainly takes courage.  Did you know that recent studies have found that the only positive indicator of a good outcome from therapy is the therapist-client relationship.  That’s it.
